On Monday the 11th I’m heading to Magnolia Beach to hang out with some other campers on Matagorda Bay for a few days with some old friends and sounds like I’ll be meeting some new friends from the Texas Senior Campers group. Coming back Friday morning because I have to renew my Jeep and Camper license before the next outing.
April 23-24 is the Great Texas Airshow held at Randolph AFB. This is one of my bucket list. I have been to shows before but that was over 30 years ago. It’s free and only 20 minutes from my house.
April 25 I’m heading out west hitting some spots in West Texas. Then I’ll turn north into New Mexico to Cloudcroft. From there it’s up through Albuquerque, Chama and then up to Pagosa Springs, Co. Then over to my stomping grounds south of South Fork to scout out camping spots for the June 4×4 Gold Mine Campout. I’ve invited the Texas Senior Camper Group and a number of them have said they are going in June. So I plan to scout potential Boondock camping areas, and make a video with directions on how to get there. Then I’ll be heading back via Red River, NM, Mora and then back through the Texas Pan Handle arriving back home in early May.
